1999 Infiniti G20: automatic, 88000km, fully loaded, 1owner, no accidents, paint scratch on bumper (but dealership will fix). Am I getting a good deal? Selling price is $11000Canadian. How much should I bargain for? Are Infinitis' overall a good car with cheap parts (in case of repairs down the line).

A: I own a 2000 ininiti g20 and I love it. Great car. Good on gas mileage, quick, handles well and looks more expensive than it is. I had a thorough check at the infiniti dealership before I bought mine from a private party and all the mechanics were telling me it was a good deal, and that if I didn't end up buying it from this guy that they wanted to. (they didn't know this guy and weren't profiting off this at all, so I think it was genuine). As for paying 11,000....I think that's pricey. I paid 7,400 for a 2000 but with about 95,000 miles. I'd say atleast try to get them down to 8,000-9,000. They'll probably do it. Good luck, and enjoy your new car whatever it is.
Q: whats the difference between a 1999 infiniti g20 and the infiniti g20 touring model?
A: the g20 touring comes with a limited slip differential for the manual transmission model and the g20 has an open differential. Also, I believe the rear spoiler and leather seats comes standard on the g20 touring and were optional on the g20

Q: 1999 Infiniti G20 Modifications?
It has a 4 cylinder engine. I was wondering what cheap modifications I could do to improve the acceleration on it without getting to fancy. I don't want it to sound like a muscle car or go 150mph. I just want something kind of simple that entails minimal labor but adds a nice boost in acceleration if possible.

Q: Anyone own an Infiniti G20, 1999 or newer?
I think it looks pretty good for its price (~$5,000), but since it only has 140hp, I am not sure if it has enough power. Anyone have opinions? How is its ride? What is its 0-60 time for an Auto. Trans.?
Are there any aftermarket parts that can add more horsepower? Is there a good website that has aftermarket parts for the G20?
A: I own a 1999 Infiniti. In my opinion, it just does not have enough horsepower to pick up speed quickly. If I were you, I would buy I30 instead. It is bigger and more powerful than G20.

A: Do not go for it. Old Infiniti's are the least reliable things on the planet. Go for an Audi A4, BMW 3-Series and you will get more out of it, I promise...

I've heard that infiniti g20 91-93 was designed for a turbo which never was put in. That's is why they last so long. Is this true.
A: Yes, you might of heard it from me. Yes, the bottom end of the 91-93 G20 engine was built for a turbo but could not bring it to the US because it would not pass emissions and the sticker price would be above 30k when they wanted to sell to the 20k budget.
Q: Which used car is a better buy: Lexus ES300 or Inifiniti G20?

A: The lexus is a no brainer. Toyotas have a much longer shelf life than Nissan. I would never buy either, but if i was forced to, it would be the lexus.
Q: Did i get a good deal on my used car purchase?
It's a 1999 Infiniti G20 with 117k miles on it, power seats/windows/mirrors/locks/moonroof w/ a cd player. I like it, but im wondering if i may have paid too much. After all fees (document processing, tag, title, tax etc.) it ended up at $7700. What do you guys think?

Q: Jeep Vs. Infiniti?
I have had trouble with finding a first car. With my budget constantly changing, I decieded I cold save my parents some cash and sticking to $7500 Tops. I would either like a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport or a 1999 Infiniti G20. What car is better? I am really pushing for the Jeep because it has AWD for the Winter. I only will need this car for 3 Years, so I am not really that worried about long-term reliability. I want a good sound system. I do not want a Honda or Toyota because I think all of them are ugly. Any other options?

A: You should totally buy a jeep. I have a really steep driveway, and about 5 days in winter i'd be stuck at home if it wasnt for my jeep and its AWD. I don't have a cherokee. I have the wrangler, but my cousin had a wrangler and he bought it when it had 100,000 miles on it and it lasted him another 75,000 miles or so. Jeeps are awesome.

A: You clearly want something stylish, so I won't waste your time with Toyota or Honda. Of the ones you listed I would personally go with the Mazda. They have a great track record as far as reliability, and it will give you the most bang for your buck out of the options you listed.
Q: Anybody have Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position tires?
I am looking for new tires for my car. Currently I have Goodyear Regatta 2 which are probably the worst tires I ever used. I am looking for better tires as mine scare me.
I care about good wet traction and decent snow traction, were the Goodyears suffered.

It seems clear that their wet traction cannot be beat, I am wondering if anybody had a chance to try them in the snow and if they are as good as reviewed.
For Info, my car is a 1999 Infiniti G20 with 195/65R15 tires.
The best other tires I've personally used are the BFGoodrich Traction T/A on my dad's car which are much better then the OE Michelin MXV4+.
The Potenzas have poor tread wear and that doesn't bother me just as long as they are worth it.
A: The tires are good,as the rubber compound as you noted wears quicker. This is normal for a tire with good traction as the rubber is softer in order to grip the road.
Q: My car wont start now that i'm halfway of taking out my factory bose system and put in a anew alpine one?
i was working on my 1999 infiniti g20 and i took the rear dash and trunk all apart so i could dynamat the thing and about suppertime it started getting a little late soo i was gonna park it in the garage and so i put the negative cord back on the battery and when to start it and all it does is turn over.. ? theres still power to it so its not the battery :S the only thing i did in the engine part was take off the negative cord of the battery.. any help on things i can check
i removed the factory amplifer and i cut off the harness soo i could hide it better.. i thought id be that but i taped off everywire and still the same thing
A: Have you checked the immobiliser? Some cars, when the battery is disconnected, reset the immobiliser so the key fob can't recognise it. I had the same problem a few months ago with a different make. Google '1999 infiniti g20 immobiliser forum' or similar. This should lead you in the right direction.
Other than a fuse, I can't think of a more likely explanation than this. It should be straightforward.

A: Go to the website provided, they have a variety of spoilers for your car, many different styles and looks (carbon, black ect..) and costs range from 130 to 500+ depending on what look your going for, once you buy the spoiler usually it comes with directions on how to mount it or it could be a simple one that uses a special glue to stick, sounds stupid but most cars spoilers are actually glued. or you can take a spoiler that needs to be installed and go to your local mechanic or auto shop.
