Q: Has anyone experienced problems with a 2006 infiniti g35 manual transmission?
I have about 6000 miles on my 2006 infiniti. I have the sports coupe 6 speed manual. Their is a distinct and incredibly annoying whistle that comes from the transmission. it is prevalent throughout the gear range, up to about 40 miles an hour. Additionally, I have a grinding in the shift linkage. I have been to the dealer many times and have spent way too much on the customer affairs line. In the end - EVERYONE heard all the sounds I complain about, BUT Infiniti has decided that they consider this noise 'normal'. I have been driving stick my whole life - this is not normal. If I find enough people who are also experiencing this, I would like to file a class action - I am not kidding. Please let me know if you are having issues like this.
A: I've had my tranny replaced TWICE under warranty and now the problem is gone. I think they've had some bad synchros or something, because it'd grind like you mentioned. Usually, the engine would have to be above 3000 rpm and the next shift would grind into gear, no matter how far down I mashed the clutch.
First tranny lasted 12000 miles, second one about 5k and this one is on 30k with no problems. Make sure that if it's grinding, that they REPLACE IT!!!!
Also, they replace the clutch when they do the tranny, so its an added bonus. Contact me if you need more info, I may be able to dig up the old receipts.
Q: Does anyone make a body kit to fit the 2006 Infiniti G35?
All I have seen fit older models, I want the INGS+1 but it says it needs to be modified to fit the '06 model. Where is a good place to purchase it and should I get the Fiberglass or the Aero material? Does any one have pics of it installed on a 2006? How do you like it if so? Please give me any info you can... Thanks...
A: join G35driver.com
you will find pics of G's with body kits, their are vendors who sell body kits at cheap low prices.
everything you can think of is at this website. i own a G35 and thats the site iam on everyday.
Q: Can you identify strange transmission noise in 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe?
This only happens when I am making a cold start. The engine and the belts sound totally normal at first. However, as I begin to accelerate, the transmission pauses and makes a grinding noise while upshifting from 1st to 2nd gear. It only happens once, and then the noise goes away, and the transmission works fine after that. One dealer told me that the transmission fluid level was fine and that he didn't know what was going on.
Has anyone experienced this, and do you have any ideas for a solution?
A: I have a 2005 G35 and it's never done that to me at all.I have a couple of friends who have them too and I can't say any of them has mentioned that noise before I would say take to the dealer if its still under warranty have them look at it because it sounds like its more then just the tranny fluid been low or to much. You might be slowly grinding down a gear or something which will be very expensive to fix if that happens.Hope this helps

Q: I'm days away from purchasing a 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe, and don't know which way to go with Navigation.
Does anyone know about the aftermarket Navigation system available from DigitalWheelz.com? I really don't like the stock Navigation on the G35 but wouldn't want to pass on it to find out later that the Digital Wheelz system is junk!
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
A: Be smart and go with the factory navigation system. I know you may not be a big fan of it, but look at it this way.
It will integrate perfectly and seamlessly with your car. Any problems, it will be covered under the vehicle's warranty.
If you go with an aftermarket navigation system, it will not integrate as nice, you will have to pay additional money to have it installed, and if anything goes wrong with it, you're stuck with it.
Q: How do I install the shift knob back onto the shifter in 2006 Infiniti G35 Sedan (automatic)?
I pulled it out by taking the small pin out from the shifter/knob but when I put the knob back in, it doesn't shift and the button on the knob is loose. It looks like the button is not pushing down the shifting rod inside the shifter.
A: take a trip to the dealer

Q: Can you install Nitrous on a Automatic 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe?
A: You can install a nitrous system on pretty much any car. The G35 is popular so you'll be able to find a vehicle specific system. I don't recomend going with nitrous though.... you could burn up your engine if you don't know what you're doing. Since you had the $$ for a G35 then I assume you'll have the $$ for a turbo, which is a better path to take in my opinion.
