NEW DELHI: Fourteen candidates received perfect marks in the JEE-Main results of the engineering entrance exam (session 1), which were announced on Monday.

List of the best candidates of Telangana

According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), the top candidates scoring the highest in the first edition of JEE-Main (2022) come from Telangana (4) followed by Andhra Pradesh (3). Telangana’s top scorers are Jasti Yashwanth VVS, Rupesh Biyani, Aniket Chattopadhyay and Dheeraj Kurukunda.

Koyayana Suhas, Penikalpati Ravi Kishore and Polisetty Karthikeya are the top scorers in Andhra Pradesh.

Other candidates who scored 100 are Sarthak Maheshwari (Haryana), Kushagra Srivastava (Jharkhand), Mrinal Garg (Punjab), Sneha Pareek (Assam), Navya (Rajasthan), Boya Harsen Sathvik (Karnataka) and Saumitra Garg (Uttar Pradesh).


Unique woman topper


Sneha Pareek of Assam is the only woman in the top 14.


Most general category toppers


Among the perfect scorers, 10 are from the general category, two from the EWS and two from the OBC category.

“Over 8.7 lakh candidates had registered for the exam while 7.69 lakhs appeared,” a senior NTA official said.


The official explained that the NTA score is not the same as the percentage of votes obtained.

Candidates who have entered the exam for the JEE Main Session 1 can check and download their results online through the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in.

“The NTA scores are normalized scores on multisession documents and are based on the relative performance of all who attended the exam in a session. The marks obtained are converted to a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of the test takers.” , the deputy officer. PTI GJS

Registration reopened for JEE-Main Session 2


The NTA on Monday said that another opportunity will be provided to applicants who could not apply for JEE-Main (session 2) for various reasons.

The online application forms for session 2 will be reopened from 11 July to 12 July (until 11pm). The last date to submit taxes is July 12 (until 11.50pm)

Registration for JEE Advanced from 7 August
Registration for JEE Advanced will begin on August 7, and the latest date to apply online is August 11.

Admission to various graduate programs in IITs is done through the joint (advanced) entrance exam.

Through JEE (Advanced), IITs offer admission to undergraduate courses leading to an undergraduate, integrated master’s, double degree in engineering, science, or architecture.
