NEW DELHI: A SpiceJet Boeing 737 was grounded due to a hitch in the use wheel. Sources say the B737 (VT-SZK) operated safely from Mangalore to Dubai on Monday (11 July).
“After landing during the walkaround inspection, the engineer observed that the front wheel strut is compressed more than normal and grounded the plane. The airline ferried another plane (flow without passengers) from Mumbai to Dubai, “the sources said.
The Directorate-General for Civil Aviation is looking into the matter.
Comments were requested SpiceJet and are expected. Last week the regulator had issued a spectacle lawsuit notice to the airline for several obstacles in the past few weeks.
