Agents believe the car probably hit a curb and was 2 feet off the ground when it crashed into the front of the property.

Footage obtained by TMZ showed Heche driving the same vehicle which was later photographed severely damaged at the scene.

The accident caused a large fire inside the property and it took 65 minutes for 59 firefighters “to access, confine and completely extinguish the stubborn flames within the severely damaged structure.”

According to the Los Angeles firefighters, a woman was found inside the car and was taken to the hospital. While the building is now “uninhabitable”, the homeowner was unharmed.

A neighbor told NBCLA: “The house was full of smoke. I think they used the crane to move the car to get the driver out. It was crazy.”

Heche is known for her roles in films including Psycho, Donnie Brasco and Cedar Rapids – and previously dated Ellen DeGeneres between 1997 and 2000.
