Tourists duck as plane lands extremely low on Greek island of Skiathos | world news

It’s the scalp-scorching moment of a Wizz Air jet whizzing past tourists’ heads before landing on a Greek holiday island.

The plane, believed to be an Airbus A321neo, can be seen passing meters above the heads of people watching at the end of the runway at Skiathos airport.

People may cry out in surprise as the plane approaches.

Skiathos, located just east of the Greek mainland, is a popular holiday destination.

Its airport is bordered by the Aegean Sea, with planes expected to descend over a beach regardless of approach direction.

It’s not the first time a plane has slammed into passers-by’s heads, with videos showing some hair-raising moments over the years.

The YouTube channel that uploaded the video said the recent descent could be “perhaps lower” than a previous example where an Air Italy 737-8BK came in at a shallow angle in 2013.
