United States: Ian, heading for South Carolina, could become a hurricane again, according to the NHC


Tropical storm Ian should become a hurricane again later Thursday before making landfall in the United States for the second time Friday, the US National Hurricane Center said, issuing a hurricane warning for the entire South Carolina coast.
Ian was located about 285 miles (460 km) south of Charleston, South Carolina, with maximum sustained winds of 70 miles per hour (110 km per hour), the Miami-based forecaster said.
