Ex-PM Imran Khan’s helicopter from Pak makes emergency landing in Rawalpindi due to technical problem


ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s helicopter made an emergency landing in rawalpindi Saturday due to a technical problem.
In a statement posted on Twitter, Pakistan’s Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) party of Khan said he was on his way to Bani Gala from the city of Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa when the helicopter made an emergency landing near the village of Adiala in Rawalpindi due to a technical problem.
Khan then left by road for his residence in Banigala near Islamabad, the party said.
Khan had visited Dera Ismail Khan to distribute cash checks to those affected by the floods.
Last month, a plane carrying the former prime minister returned to Islamabad shortly after takeoff due to bad weather conditions over the weekend.
