BANGALURU: Raiders Guman Singh and Jai Bhagwan were the stars like U Mumba defeated U.P. Yoddhas 30-23 in Game 10 of the Kabaddi Pro League Season 9 at Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium on Monday.
Bhagwan had six points, while Guman scored five points in the game.
Jai Bhagwan and Guman Singh came on raids as U Mumba took a three-point lead at 5-2 in the seventh minute.
The U Mumba defense, led by Surinder Singh, backed up their looters and helped the Mumbai side keep going forward. Rinku put in a fantastic tackle against Surender Gill in the 14th minute to help U Mumba stay ahead at 9-6.
Bhagwan picked up some raid points as U Mumba comfortably led 14-9 at the end of the first half.
Surender Gill made a brilliant raid in the opening minutes of the second half and kept UP Yoddhas in the game at 13-15.
However, defenders Kiran Magar and Rinku ensured that the Mumbai team continued to hold their nose in front at 17-13.
Ashish made a multi-point raid in the 30th minute and reduced the UP Yoddhas to one player on the mat.
Shortly after, U Mumba tackles Pardeep Narwal and inflicts an ALL OUT to take a massive lead at 23-17. U Mumba’s defense continued to show their best form as the Mumbai side took a 10-point lead at 28-18 in the 36th minute.
U Mumba’s raiders played cautiously in the final minutes as the team finally secured a comprehensive victory.
