Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood arrested on suspicion of breaching bail | Football News

LONDON: Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood was arrested for allegedly breaching bail conditions, British police said on Saturday.
The 21-year-old was first arrested in January for the alleged rape and assault of a young woman after pictures and videos emerged online.
He was also questioned on suspicion of uttering death threats.
Greenwood has been out on bail ever since.
A police spokesperson said: “Greater Manchester Police are aware of an allegation of a 21-year-old man breaching his bail conditions and an arrest has been made on Saturday October 15, 2022.
“Investigations are ongoing at this time.”
Hours after the allegations surfaced online earlier this year, Greenwood, who made one appearance for England, was suspended from playing or training with United.
Nike suspended and later terminated its sponsorship deal with Greenwood, while Electronic Arts confirmed its withdrawal from active teams on its FIFA 22 game.
