Texas Malnourished Twins Escaped From Handcuffs After Boy Finds Key And Hides It In Mouth | News from the United States

The malnourished teenage twins escaped from the handcuffs in their Texas home when one of them found the key in his mother’s purse and hid it in his mouth until he was sure to escape, according to US court documents.

The 15-year-old twins, a boy and a girl, said they were handcuffed in a laundry, NBC reported.

The boy, who found the key to the restrictions, said he waited to escape until his mother and fiance were asleep, according to court documents filed in Harris County.

Deputies from the Harris County Constable Precinct 5 office were called to a house in Cypress where the boys fled at around 5:30 am Tuesday morning.

“The twin brothers were covered in bruises, were barefoot and partially clothed. The brothers said they were starving,” court documents say.

Documents claim that the boys had suffered months of abuse starting in July at the hands of their mother and her boyfriend.

The agent’s office says the teens were subjected to abuse which included being forced to drink bleach or oven cleaner sprayed into their mouths if they “talked too much”, with the bleach spilled on their skin, including the genitals, which caused burning.

The teenagers were also beaten with extension cords, curtain rods and metal poles, according to court records.

Records say there is a probable cause for the mother to be charged with aggravated assault and aggravated assault on a family member with a previous sentence.

The mother’s boyfriend, according to court documents, could be accused of continuing violence against the family.

After authorities found the boys, it took the agent’s office hours to figure out which house they fled from because the brothers had only recently moved there, a spokesperson for the agent’s office said this week. .

When the agents finally went to the home of the mother and her boyfriend, they were gone.

A warning was then issued for five more of her children.

Louisiana State Police said the couple were arrested during a traffic stop in the Baton Rouge area on Tuesday afternoon and arrested on suspicion of being in hiding outside Harris County.

A young man was in a car with the couple, state police said. Five other children who were left at a relative’s home near Baton Rouge were subsequently identified and reported, police added.
