BANGALURU: Raiders Guman Singh and Heidarali Ekrami has concocted some exceptional performances to help U Mumba record a comprehensive 37-29 win over Gujarat Giants in a Kabaddi Pro League game here on Wednesday.
U Mumba and Gujarat Giants were engaged in a neck and neck game within the first 30 minutes of the match. But an inspirational performance from the Mumbai defense helped his side pull away with a massive lead.
Eventually, the raiders got U Mumba off the mat as the winner. Raiders Guman Singh and Heidarali Ekrami contributed with a total of 22 points in the game.
Rakesh and Guman picked up raid points for each of their teams as both teams continued to trade points in the first 10 minutes of the match.
However, Rakesh reduced the Mumbai side to two players on the mat in the 10th minute. But U Mumba managed to stay in the game after tackling Rakesh on his very next raid and took the lead at 10-8.
Mohit performed a SUPER TACKLE in the 15th minute as U Mumba widened their lead. However, Gujarat raider Parteek Dhaiya stepped up his game and helped his team level the scores at 14-14. Both teams entered the half-time break locked at 16-16.
Sandeep Kandola tackled Heidarali Ekrami but soon after U Mumba captain Surinder Singh tackled Parteek Dhaiya. Both teams continued to match each other with every move.
However, Rakesh pulled off a fantastic raid in the 28th minute and helped his side to a 24-22 lead. But, moments later, U Mumba tackles Rakesh and regains the lead at 27-25.
The U Mumba defense unit led by Surinder and Mohit continued to tackle the raiders and helped his team to a massive 30-25 lead.
The Mumbai team further extended their lead after inflicting an ALL OUT in the 35th minute. U Mumba continued to rage and eventually closed out a comprehensive 37-29 victory.
