PUNE: Sachin produced a scintillating performance in power Pirates of Patna to a 34-28 win over Gujarat Giants in a Kabaddi Pro League match at Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi on Monday.
Sachin became the best player in the Patna team with 13 points in the game.
Sachin picked up some raid points as the Pirates took a 4-2 lead in the 6th minute. Rohit Gulia also joined the party and helped the Pirates reduce the Giants to three players on the mat.
Shortly after, the Patna team inflicted an ALL OUT to take a massive 10-5 lead in the 10th minute. However, moments later, Parteek Dhaiya pulled off a SUPER RAID and kept the Giants in the game.
But, Rohit continued to pick up raid points as the Pirates reached a game stronghold at 15-9. Afterwards, Sachin made a multipoint raid in the 16th minute to help Patna extend their lead.
The Pirates continued to rage and inflicted another ALL OUT just before halftime to lead 21-13.
Gulia continued to show her peak form in the second half as the Patna team topped the match at 23-15. The Pirates defense unit led by Captain Neeraj Kumar supported his raiders and helped his team to keep advancing.
Gujarat’s Rakesh had a few brilliant raids, but he couldn’t help his team catch up with Patna.
The Giants reduced the Pirates to three members on the mat in the 38th minute, but Sachin produced a magnificent raid to help his team stay ahead.
The Patna team exercised caution at the last minute and eventually secured a comprehensive victory.
