Delhi Liquor Policy Case: Manish Sisodia Claims ED Arrested His PA After Raiding His Home | Delhi News


NEW DELHI: Launching a ferocious attack on the BJP, the Deputy Prime Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia On Saturday he said the enforcement management arrested his personal assistant after breaking into his home.
“They filed a complaint against me for false accusations and broke into my home but found nothing. Today they broke into my PA’s house and when they found nothing there, they arrested him,” Sisodia said. in a Twitter post.

Sisodia said the BJP is afraid of the Aam Aadmi party and it is facing some defeat in the elections which is why the saffron party is indulging in such pressure tactics.
Meanwhile, the investigation agency questioned Sisodia’s AP in connection with its investigation of money laundering in alleged irregularities in the now scrapped excise policy, officials said.
The agency is questioning Devendra Sharma and registers her statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), they said.
So far the ED has conducted multiple raids in this case. In September, he arrested Sameer Mahandru, CEO of a liquor company called Indospirit.
The money laundering case arose from a CBI FIR who had named Sisodia as a defendant among others. The CBI had raided the premises of the deputy prime minister and some Delhi government bureaucrats after dismissing the case.
The excise regime was scrutinized after the Delhi LG recommended a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Delhi 2021-22 excise policy. The LG had also suspended 11 excise officials.
