World Cup referee Facundo Tello handed out 10 red cards in the Argentine Champions Trophy final on Sunday after Racing Club midfielder Carlos Alcaraz sparked a scrum in front of Boca Juniors fans with his celebration of the winning goal.

As the teams tied at 1-1 in the dying minutes of extra time, Alcaraz headed a header into the corner of the net to win it for Racing.

However, his prolonged celebration in front of opposition fans infuriated Boca players, with video showing them grabbing Alcaraz by the ear and throwing a ball at him.

Tello, who will be one of the World Cup officials in Qatar, sent off Alcaraz and handed Boca players five red cards after the scuffle.

A total of seven red cards were shown to Boca and three Racing players during the game.

Norberto Briasco had opened the scoring for Boca before Racing’s Matias Rojas equalized in the first half.
