# With their seven-wicket victory at Eden Park, Auckland on 25 November, New Zealand recorded their 50th win against India, the first time they hit 50 against any opponent in ODIs.
# India and New Zealand have played nine bilateral ODI series against each other in New Zealand. India won two, lost five and drew the remaining two.
# In the ODI series in 2018-19, India won four matches for the first time in an ODI series in New Zealand, winning the series 4-1.
# India enjoy a winning percentage of 52.35, W55 L50 from 111 ODIs played overall against New Zealand (tied 1 and NR 5).
# New Zealand’s 200-run triumph at Dambulla on 10 August 2010 remains the biggest by runs against India in ODIs.
# India’s aforementioned defeat is fifth biggest while they are second in ODIs
# India’s 88 in Dambula 10 August 2010 remains their lowest total against New Zealand in ODIs.
# Ravindra Jadeja scored the highest score with 20 out of a total of 88 in India at Dambulla on August 10, 2010.
# For the first time, New Zealand have won five consecutive ODIs against India – with 18 runs in the SF at Manchester on 9-10 July 2019; by 4 wickets at Hamilton on 5 February 2020; of 22 trips to Auckland on 8 February 2020; by 5 wickets at Mount Maunganui on 11 February 2020 and by 7 wickets at Auckland on 25 November 2022.
# India’s win by 190 runs in Visakhapatnam on 29 October 2016 is their biggest in terms of runs against New Zealand.
# India have won 14 and lost 26 from 43 ODIs played against New Zealand in New Zealand (D1 and NR 2).

# New Zealand have won 13 successive New Zealand ODI matches between 13 February 2019 and 25 November 2022, setting a new home record, surpassing 12 between 31 January 2015 and 28 December 2015.
# New Zealand’s 309 for three on Friday was their most successful chase against India in Auckland in ODIs.
#Sachin Tendulkar’s unbeaten run of 163 off 133 balls against New Zealand in Christchurch on 8 March 2009 is the most by an Indian batsman in ODIs in New Zealand.
# Anil Kumble took five for 33 against New Zealand in Wellington 30 March 1994, the best figures by an Indian bowler in ODIs in New Zealand.
# Kumble remains the only Indian bowler to produce a five wicket haul in ODIs in New Zealand.
# Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir shared an unbroken first wicket partnership of 201 in Hamilton on 11 March 2009, India’s highest for any wicket in ODIs in New Zealand.
# Javagal Srinath is the only bowler to take 50 wickets or more in ODIs involving India and New Zealand – his tally is 51 at 20.41 runs apiece in 30 matches.
# Srinath’s tally of 18 wickets at 11.16 runs each in seven matches in 2002-03 is a record by any bowler in a two way series involving India and New Zealand in ODIs.
# New Zealand’s two leading run-getters in a two-sided series are – Kane Williamson – 361 (ave 72.20) in 5 innings in 2013-14 and Virat Kohli – 358 (ave 119.33) in 5 innings in 2016-17.
# Jasprit Bumrah went wicketless in New Zealand’s last two-way series in 2019-20, conceding 53 runs to Hamilton; 64 in Auckland and 50 in Mount Maunganui.
# In India’s last three match ODI series in New Zealand – the top three batsmen averaged just 21.66 – the only fifty was 51 by Virat Kohli at Hamilton on 5 February 2020.

# Tom Latham’s 76-ball hundred is the fourth fastest for New Zealand against India in ODIs behind Jesse Ryder’s 72-ball century during his innings of 105 off 80 in Christchurch on 8 March 2009; Ross Taylor’s 73-ball century – 109 not out off 84 balls in Hamilton on 5 February 2020 and Chris Cairns’ 75-ball century – 115 off 80 balls in Christchurch on 19 January 1999.
# Tom Latham recorded his career best (145 not out) in ODIs, eclipsing 140 not out against Holland in Hamilton on 2 April 2022. The said knock is his second hundred against India – the first was 103 not out at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 22 October 2017.
# Latham and Ross Taylor are the only two New Zealanders to have each placed two hundred against India in successful chases in ODIs.
# Latham’s fantastic stroke is the highest individual score for New Zealand against India in ODIs, eclipsing Nathan Astle’s 120 at Rajkot on 5 November 1999.
# Latham’s match winning stroke is the most by any batsman number 5 or lower during successful ODI chase, eclipsing Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza’s 135 not out – 135 not out off 109 balls against Bangladesh in Harare on August 5, 2022.
# Washington Sundar’s outstanding strike rate of 231.25 while hitting an unbeaten 37 off 16 balls is the highest among Indians batsmen ranked 6 or lower in an away innings of over 30 in ODIs.
# With their fourth century partnership (124) for the first wicket, Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill managed 700 runs for the opening wicket at an average of 87.50 in nine innings. Only Rohit Sharma and Lokesh Rahul average better for the opening wicket for India in ODIs: 992 runs at 90.18, including five hundred and over fifty, in eleven innings (minimum 500 runs).
# Tim Southee is now the fifth NZ bowler after Daniel Vettori (305), Kyle Mills (240), Chris Harris (203) and Chris Cairns (201) to complete over 200 wickets in ODIs -202 at 33.83 runs each in 149 matches.
# An unbroken partnership of 221 between captain Kane Williamson and Rod Latham for the fourth wicket is New Zealand’s most for any wicket against India in ODIs, surpassing 200 for the same wicket at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 22 October 2017.

# Williamson became the fourth New Zealand batsman to manage over 1,000 runs against India in ODIs – his tally was 1078 at 43.12 in 26 innings. He joined Ross Taylor (1385), Nathan Astle (1207) and Stephen Fleming (1098).
# Shikhar Dhawan (72), Shubman Gill (50) and Shreyas Iyer (80) recorded the second instance of India’s number 1, 2 and 3 recording over 50 in the same innings in an ODI in New Zealand – the first was Ajay Jadeja (56), Sachin Tendulkar (63) and Navjot Singh Sidhu (71) at Basin Reserve, Wellington on 30th March 1994.
# The only other instance of India’s number 1, 2 and 3 recording over 50 in the same innings in a losing cause was against South Africa in a World Cup match in Nagpur on 12 March 2011 – Virender Sehwag (73), Sachin Tendulkar (111) and Gautam Gambhir (69)
# All four of Shreyas Iyer’s recorded fifty in succession against New Zealand have failed – all in New Zealand – run of scores being 103 in Hamilton; 52 in Auckland and 62 in Mount Maunganui – all in February 2020 and 80 in Auckland on 25 November. His total is 297 runs (ave 74.25), including one hundred and three fifties, with a strike rate of 98.01 in four innings.
# India’s 306 for 7 total is the third lowest innings total in a loss to New Zealand – the first two being 347 for four in Hamilton on February 5, 2020 and 306 in Rajkot on November 5, 1999.
# New Zealand’s 309 from three total is the second highest total in a successful chase against India behind Hamilton’s 348 from six on 5 February 2020.
