However, Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic once again proved to be the hero of the 2018 finalists.
He made three saves from the penalty spot in Croatia’s grueling last 16 games against Japan and pulled off a string of saves to keep Brazil out for the first 90 minutes without a goal.
Livakovic then saved a Rodrygo penalty and Marquinhos hit the post.
