NEW DELHI: DNA samples taken from bone pieces recovered in the Mehrauli Forest area by Delhi Police in connection with the Shraddha Walkar murder case have been matched with samples from her father, police sources said on Thursday.
Police had recovered 13 pieces of bone from the area while searching for Walkar’s body parts. She was allegedly strangled and her body sawn into 35 pieces and disposed of in various parts of the national capital by her domestic partner Aaftab Amin Poonawalla.

“Police have received the DNA report from the bones found. The DNA from the bones matches DNA samples from Walkar’s father,” a source said.
The bone samples were sent for DNA analysis to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory.
The report of the Poonawalla polygraph test was presented to police by the Forensic Science Laboratory on Wednesday.
