NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi composed Rishabh Pantsto take stock of his health after the Indian cricketer suffered a horrific accident at the Delhi–Dehradun Highway in the wee hours of Friday.
Pant, 25, was lucky to escape when his car crashed into a road divider and burst into flames after dozing off while driving on the motorway.

The wicket keeper suffered multiple injuries to his head, back and feet but is in stable condition following the accident in Manglaur, Haridwar district, Uttarakhand at around 5.30am in the morning, police said.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Modi also took to Twitter to pray for his speedy recovery.
“Distressed by the accident of famous cricketer Rishabh Pant. I pray for his good health and wellbeing. @RishabhPant17,” the Prime Minister said on Twitter.

BCCI also released the statement saying, “Rishabh has two cuts to his forehead, a torn ligament in his right knee and also injured his right wrist, ankle, toe and suffered abrasion injuries to his back. .”

Rishabh’s condition remains stable and he has now been transferred to Max Hospital in Dehradun, where he will undergo MRI scans to determine the extent of his injuries and formulate his new treatment, the BCCI statement said.

BCCI also ensures that Rishabh receives the best possible medical care and receives all the support he needs to get out of this traumatic phase.
