Russia says damaged Soyuz spacecraft ‘must’ return to Earth unmanned

MOSCOW: The Russian Space Agency said on Wednesday its damaged Soyuz spacecraft was due to return to Earth from the uncrewed International Space Station, confirming it had been hit by a small meteorite strike.
“The ‘Soyuz MS-22’ is to descend to Earth unmanned,” Roscosmos said in a statement after damage to the space capsule led to a coolant leak last month.
