A suspect is in custody after a shooting that killed multiple people in the town of Half Moon Bay, Calif., the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said.
“The suspect is in custody. There is no continuing threat to the community at this time,” the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. Tweeter.
The bureau did not provide further details on the incident after tweeting earlier Monday that law enforcement officials were responding to the shooting.
“Sheriff’s Office is responding to a shooting incident with multiple casualties in the area of Hwy 92 and HMB city limits,” the tweet read.
Half Moon Bay is about 28 miles south of San Francisco and is in the westernmost part of San Mateo County, according to information on the city’s website.
