All equal before God, castes created by priests: Mohan Bhagwat | News from India

MUMBAI: Conscience and conscience are all the same in the country, only opinions differ, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) boss Mohan Bhagwat said Sunday.
He was talking about an event at the auditorium of Ravindra Natya Mandir on the occasion of the 647th anniversary of the birth of San Shirom Rohidas.
Bhagwat said, “When we make a living, we also have responsibilities to society. When every job is for the greater good of society, how can a job be big or small or different?”
“To our creator, we are equal. There is no caste or sect. These differences were created by our priests, which was wrong,” he added.
He added that conscience and conscience are all the same in the country, and only opinions are different.”
The RSS chief said Saint Rohidas has greater stature than Tulsidas, Kabir e Surdaswhy it is considered San Shiromani.
“Although he failed to conquer the Brahmins in Shastrathhe was able to touch many hearts and make them believe in God,” he said.
He invoked Saint Rohidas to say that religion is not just about filling one’s stomach.
“Do your work and do it according to your religion. Unite society and work for its progress, as this is what religion is all about. It is because of such thoughts and high ideals that many great names have become disciples of St. Rohidas ”said the head of the RSS.
Bhagwat added that Saint Rohidas has given four mantras to the society: truth, compassion, inner purity and continuous hard work and commitment.
“Pay attention to everything that happens around you, but do not leave your religion under any circumstances. Although the way of conveying religious messages is different, the messages themselves are the same. One should practice one’s religion without malice to other faiths,” he added.
