βThe bullet ricocheted off the wall and hit a young girl in the nose. Immediately I went straight to the hospital and saw her with a bloody nose and bloody clothes,” Gayle, who represented RCB for seven IPL seasons from 2011 to 2017, told former Indian drummer Robin Uthappa in the show “Home of Heroes” on JioCinema.
“She was like, ‘Why are you sad? Don’t worry, do more than six!’ It was so amazing man! She made me feel better by telling me that even when she was in pain she wanted me to do more than six,” Gayle said on the show.
“It was an emotional moment. The next game every fan had a sign saying ‘please break my nose’, so I could go and visit them in the hospital.”
Apart from RCB, Gayle has also represented Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.
