A single ticket holder has won an estimated $754.6m (£623.4m) in the US Powerball jackpot, but has yet to claim the prize.

The pot is the ninth-largest in U.S. history after a winless streak since November allowed the sum to grow to Monday night’s win.

Washington state lottery officials said the ticket was sold at a department store in Auburn, 30 miles (48km) south of Seattle, on Sunday. He will receive a $50,000 (£41,000) bonus.
