The Lok Sabha had resumed discussions on the motion of thanks, moved by BJP member Chandra Prakash Joshi, on Tuesday after three days of interruptions in the Parliament. The Lok Sabha had allotted 12 hours for the debate.
The Prime Minister’s speech comes a day after Parliament saw acrimonious exchanges on the Adani-Hindenburg issue.

Rahul Gandhi targets Prime Minister Modi

BJP MP moves privilege motion against Rahul Gandhi
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, who tabled a violation of privileges motion against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, said on Wednesday that MP Wayanad should not have accused someone who is not present at the session of Parliament to defend himself.
“I have tabled a privilege motion against Rahul Gandhi. As per the regulation, in Parliament you cannot bring charges against a person who is not present at the session to defend himself and you also have to give notice and ask permission from the speaker,” Dubey said at the ANI.
