“The truth always comes out. All you have to do is look at my face as I speak [in Parliament] and his face. Look at how many times the prime minister drank water and how his hands were shaking while he drank water,” said Gandhi, who represents Wayanad constituency in Lok Sabha.
“I’m not afraid of Prime Minister Modi”
The deputy said parts of his speech to the House had been deleted even though he didn’t insult anyone.
“I spoke in the most polite and respectful manner. Most of my speech was cut and was not allowed to be recorded. I raised the issue of Adani’s trip with the PM abroad and awarding contracts from those countries. I was asked to show proof regarding what I said and wrote a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker with every point they removed along with supporting evidence,” Gandhi said.

“I don’t expect my words to be made public. The prime minister of the country insulted me directly, but his words were not recorded. He said why is your name Gandhi and not Nehru,” the Congress leader said .

“The prime minister thinks he is very powerful and people will be scared of him. The prime minister doesn’t realize that the very last thing I am afraid of is Narendra Modi. It doesn’t matter if he is the prime minister of India. Because one day he will be forced to face his truth,” he added.

Gandhi meets family of slain tribal man
On Monday, Gandhi visited the home of a tribal man who was found dead nearby Kozhikode medical school recently. Vishwanathan (46) was found hanged near Kozhikode medical college hospital on 11 February, where his wife was admitted for childbirth.
The family suspected foul play behind the tribesman’s death.
After visiting the family, Gandhi said that Vishwanathan was the victim of a mafia trial and that a full investigation into the incident should be conducted. “Viswanathan’s family should get justice,” he said in a Malayalam tweet posted on his Lok Sabha office account.
Continuing his visit to the constituency, Gandhi later met the beneficiaries of the Kaithangu project – a project to build houses for the needy – and also attended a meeting of DISHA, a district development coordination and monitoring committee.
This was Gandhi’s first visit to his constituency after successfully completing the more than 4,000-kilometer Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir on 30 January.
