Leaders welcomed the historic agreement between Air India and Boeing as a shining example of mutually beneficial cooperation and agreed to strengthen the vibrant people-to-people ties between the two countries.

In a tweet PM Ways he said, “I am delighted to speak with US President Joe Biden. Excellent discussion to review ongoing and new initiatives to further deepen the comprehensive and global partnership between India and the US. We welcome the historic Air India- Boeing that will help create new opportunities in both countries.”
Earlier in the day, President Biden hailed the “historic deal” between Air India and Boeing which, he said, “would support more than a million American jobs in 44 states, and many won’t require a four-year degree.”
Emphasizing the expansion of India’s civil aviation sector, Prime Minister Modi also called on Boeing and other US companies to take advantage of growing opportunities in the country.
The two leaders also welcomed the first meeting of the Critical and Emerging Technologies Initiative (iCET) recently held in Washington DC and expressed their keen desire to enhance bilateral cooperation in space, semiconductor, defense and other scopes.
Prime Minister Modi and Biden have also agreed to stay in touch during India’s ongoing presidency of the G20 to ensure its success.
