GUWAHATI: Tripura’s 28-lakh electorate achieved an 81% voter turnout in Thursday’s assembly elections, spurred by visibly greater urban enthusiasm than before, but still not enough to arrest the downward trend started in 2018 after a record high of 91.8% five years earlier.
