The New Drug Plaguing US Cities | US News

A tranquilizer used by vets is infiltrating street drugs and aggravating addiction in cities across the United States.

The drug called xylazine is causing injuries so bad that without treatment they result in amputation. The problem is particularly acute in Philadelphia, which has long been the ground zero of the opioid crisis.
