MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan was slapped with two traffic violation charges of Rs500 and Rs750 respectively on Friday. Kartik was fined after parking his luxury sports car in the wrong direction near the Siddhivinayak temple around 1pm. The actor got the challan when he walked out of the temple along with his parents where he had gone to offer prayers.
The first challan of Rs500 was issued to the plaintiff for parking his vehicle in the wrong direction. The second for Rs750 was issued under the Motor Vehicle Act for Disobedience of Police order/direction. “The actor was fined Rs 1,250 for violating two traffic rules when he visited the temple. He paid the fine,” a police officer from the Dadar Traffic Police Division told TOI.

The officer said the police will do their job and action will be taken, whoever is an actor or VIP if the person violated traffic rules and parked their vehicle in a no-go area. parking lot or in a parking lot on the wrong side.
After the breach becomes known, the Bombay traffic police posted the photo of Kartik’s sports car on his Twitter Handle (@MTPHereToHelp). The Mumbai Traffic Police sarcastically tweeted, “Problem? Problem yeh thi ki the car was parked on the wrong side! Don’t do the ‘Bhool’ of thinking that ‘Shehzadaas’ may violate the traffic rules.
Though the city traffic police didn’t mention the actor’s name in the tweet. Through the tweet, they used the actor’s dialogues and the names of the films he starred in to spread awareness among people to discourage them from committing traffic violations. Police tweeted further: “#RulesAajKalAndForever”. The tweet was viewed over 80,000 times between February 18 and 19.
Kartik was last seen in his latest Bollywood outing ‘Shehzada’.
