In a no-holds-barred attack, Sharmila said, “He (Telangana CM KCR) is a dictator, he is a tyrant, there is no Indian constitution in Telangana, there is only the KCR constitution. Telangana is the Afghanistan of ‘India and KCR is its Taliban’.
YS Sharmila is the daughter of the former CM of Andhra Pradesh, the late YS Rajsekhar Reddy, and also the sister of the present YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
He founded the Hyderabad-based YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) in 2021 to rival Rao’s BRS and is seeking to wrest power in the Telangana assembly elections scheduled for later this year.
She has been engaged in a high-tension campaign against the KCR, accusing the prime minister of an autocratic style of functioning. “There is no Indian constitution in Telangana. There is only the KCR constitution,” she said on Sunday.
He said his party employees were attacked for “exposing KCR’s failures and corruption”.
On Sunday, Telangana police arrested YS Sharmila for allegedly inappropriate remarks against Mahabubabad MLA and BRS leader Shankar Naik.
Sharmila is currently embarking on the lengthy ‘Praja Prasthanam Padyatra’ which has already traveled over 3,000 kilometers within the state. The yatra resumed in early February after a two-month hiatus.
In the last two, Sharmila had made custom attacks on the KCR.
