NEW DELHI: Skipper of Indian women’s cricket team Harmanpreet Kaur created a playing record of the most T20I when she led her side in their Women’s T20 World Cup match against Ireland on Monday at Gqeberha’s St George’s Park.
33-year-old Harmanpreet became the first ever cricketer (men or women) to reach the 150-match mark in the game’s shortest format.

“Playing 150 T20I matches means a lot, I got an exciting message from my team mates. Thanks to BCCI and ICC, we are able to play so many matches,” said Harmanpreet after winning the toss and choosing to bat against L ‘Ireland in their final group match of the tournament.
Harmanpreet also became the first Indian to complete 3000 runs and fourth overall in women’s cricket.
Of New Zealand Suzie Bates she is second on the list with 143 caps to her name so far Dan Wyatt represented England in 141 T20Is.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma tops the men’s T20I list with 148 T20Is, followed by Pakistani Shoaib Malik (124) and New Zealander Martin Guptill (122).
