NEW DELHI: Captain of Australia Pat Cummins he returned home from touring India due to a serious family illness. However, he will be back in time for the third test, the team said on Monday.
“He will return to India later this week to rejoin preparations for the third test in Indore,” the team said in a statement.
India currently lead the four-game series 2-0.
India, who have kept the Border-Gavaskar Trophyhe had defeated Australia by an innings and 132 runs in the opening Test and won the Second Test, in Delhi, by 6 wickets.
The third test will be played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore from 1st March.
