Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino Drinks Recalled in US After Glass Found in Bottles | US News

More than 300,000 Starbucks drinks have been recalled by PepsiCo after glass was found in some of its bottles.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said 25,200 cases of the vanilla Frappuccino refrigerated coffee drink were recalled after material was detected inside the 16-ounce bottles.

There are twelve bottles in each case, which means 302,400 are part of the recall.

The recall was classified as a class two, which according to the FDA is “a situation in which use of or exposure to an infringing product is likely to cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences, or in which the likelihood of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”

According to the notice, which started Jan. 28, the expiration dates for the affected bottles are March 8, May 29, June 4, and June 10, all for 2023.

He added: “The North American Coffee Partnership is committed to ensuring a high level of quality in the products we serve.

“Providing a quality experience for our consumers is our top priority and we always act very cautiously whenever a potential concern is raised.”

The FDA alert does not mention whether any injuries have been reported, and there is no information on how the glass was discovered.
