Watch: MS Dhoni receives rousing welcome upon his arrival in Chennai for pre-IPL camp | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: With the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League due to start on March 31, four-time champions Chennai Super Kings will kick off their preparatory camp in Chennai from Friday.
The Southern State darling, the talismanic skipper MS Dhoni reached the state capital on Thursday night amid an enthusiastic welcome from fans at the airport.

Dhoni is expected to join his teammates in the camp at MA Chidambaram Stadium starting tomorrow.

“CSK will start training from tomorrow. Dhoni will arrive tomorrow. Indian team members will attend the camp,” CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said on Thursday.
Ajinkya Rahane and Ambati Rayudu will also be part of the camp.
The franchise had roped England Tests captain Ben Stokes and New Zealand pacemaker Kyle Jamieson at the auction earlier this year. However, the Blackcaps big bowler could miss the tournament due to a recurring back injury.
CSK sources said a replacement for Jamieson would be decided after consultations with Dhoni.
CSK will face defending champions Gujarat Titans in the season opener on March 31.

CSK were placed in Group B alongside Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans. Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants have been placed in Group A.
