Richa Ghosh jumps 21 places in latest ICC women’s T20I rankings | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: India’s second top scorer in the recently concluded Women’s T20 World Cup, Richa Gosh Friday jumped 21 places to 22nd in the latest ICC Ranking of women’s T20I threshers.
The 19-year-old wicket-striker totaled 136 carries at an average of 68 at the T20 World Cup in South Africa and was the only Indian on the ICC tournament’s Most Valuable Team.
Richa was second behind Smriti Mandhana (151 runs) in terms of runs for India in the cricket extravaganza.
The Siliguri youngster went three unbeaten runs – 31 (vs Pakistan), 44 (vs West Indies) and 47 uneliminated (vs England) in the tournament.
The biggest winners in the ranking were Vishmi Gunaratne from Sri Lanka and English spinner Charlie Dean.
Gunaratne climbed 95 places to 169th place. The 17-year-old came into the Women’s T20 World Cup having played just nine T20Is for Sri Lanka but impressed in the group stage against the two runners-up.

She scored a 35 against South Africa and a 24 against Australia.
Off-spinner Charlie Dean climbed 77 places to 50th in the bowling standings, while jumping 103 places to 77th overall.
