More than two months after being arrested for aiding and abetting suicide in the case of Tunisha Sharma’s death, Sheezan Khan was granted bail today by Vasai Sessions Court. While the family can’t wait to see the actor return home, Tunisha Sharma’s family is not in the mood to let the development affect their morale.
On behalf of Vanita Sharma, Tunisha’s uncle Pawan Sharma says, “It is a legal procedure and we expected it to come to fruition eventually. However, this will not discourage us. We will not back down until Sheezan is punished and we will fight until Tunisha gets justice. Many facts emerged during the discussion. Sheezan’s mother knew of his womanizing ways but she didn’t stop him. Jab tak insaaf nahi milega, hum hello fight karenge. Our case is strong.

Tunisha Sharma reportedly died by suicide on December 24. She was found dead in a make-up room on the set of her TV show Ali Baba-Dastaan-e-Kabul. Sheezan played the male lead opposite her. He was arrested following a complaint filed against him by Tunisha’s mother, Vanita Sharma. Tunisha and Sheezan were in a relationship and reportedly broke up 15 days before the unfortunate incident.
In a chat with us soon after Sheezan was granted bail, her sister Falaq Naaz, also an actress, said the family is eagerly awaiting her return home after 70 days. A case involving the annulment of the FIR is expected to be heard in the High Court on 9 March.
