Watch: Kiran Navgire’s sharp catch at boundary line to dismiss Shafali Verma | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Displaying formidable athleticism and judgment UP Warriorz’ Kiran Navgire had a great catch to get rid of the Delhi Capitals opener Shafali Verma in Game 5 of the Women’s Premier League at Navi Mumbai.
Navgire’s sure hands cut short Shafali’s (17) stay in midfield shortly after Powerplay.
The incident happened in the seventh when Shafali was looking to get point guard Tahlia McGrath over the thin-legged fence. The Delhi fly-half timed the ball well but failed to get the right lift on the ball. Moving quickly to his right, Navgire dived to his right at the fence and grabbed a stunner. She then landed safely and spun around to perform a terrific hold.

Even though Warriorz got the break early, but skipper Meg Lanning (70) and lower order contributions saw Delhi post 211 for 4 in their stipulated 20 overs.
Outside of Lanning, Jess Jonassen hit an unbeaten 20-ball 42 while Jemimah Rodrigues also hit an unbeaten 22-ball 34.
For Delhi McGrath, Shabnim Ismail, Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Sophie Ecclestone each grabbed a wicket.
