Karachi: IndiGo Delhi-Doha flight diverted to Karachi due to medical emergency | News from India

NEW DELHI: An Indigo The plane that took off from Delhi late Sunday night for Doha was reportedly diverted to Karachi due to a medical emergency on board. The Nigerian national passenger is deceased.
The flight, 6E-1736, had taken off from Delhi at 10.05pm on Sunday for what was to be a little over four-hour journey to Doha. He landed in Karachi just after midnight (local time).
In a statement, IndiGo said, “Flight 6E-1736, operating from Delhi to Doha, has been diverted to Karachi due to an onboard medical emergency. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the passenger was pronounced dead by the airport medical team. We are deeply saddened by the news and our prayers and best wishes are with his family and loved ones. We are currently making arrangements for the transfer of the other passengers on the flight, in coordination with the relevant authorities.”
