Black Sea: Russia wants to recover the debris of the American drone in the Black Sea

KYIV: Russian authorities say they will try to recover fragments of a US surveillance drone that US forces shot down in the Black Sea after an encounter with Russian fighter jets.
Nikolai Patrushev, the secretary of Russia’s Security Council, said in televised remarks on Wednesday that Russia planned to search for debris from the drone.
“I don’t know if we can get them back or not, but we will definitely have to, and we’ll deal with it,” Patrushev said. “I certainly hope for success.”
John, spokesman for the United States National Security Council Kirby said the drone was flying in international airspace and over international waters when the encounter with the Russian fighter took place on Tuesday.
He pointed out that the presence of the drone over the Black Sea was not a rare occurrence. Kirby said the MQ-9 Reaper drone had not yet been recovered and it was unclear if it would be.
Patrushev said the drone incident underscores US involvement in hostilities in Ukraine. Sergei Narichkinthe head of the Russian foreign intelligence service, also noted that Russia has the ability to recover the fragments of the drone.
