Manchester United meet Sevilla in Europa League quarters | Football News

NEW DELHI: Manchester United will face a record six times Sevilla in the Europa League quarters as Juventus take on Jock for a place in the last four.
In the draw, which took place in Nyon on Friday, Roma were drawn with Feyenoord in a repeat of last season’s Europa Conference League final while Bayer Leverkusen were pitted against Union Saint-Gilloise.
United, who have beaten Real Betis in both games of their last 16, will travel to Spain again after Sevilla – who last won the competition in 2020 – progressed despite losing the second leg against Fenerbahce.

The Spanish side have never lost to United in three encounters, last beating them in the semi-finals in 2020.
United manager Eric ten Hag highlighted Sevilla’s record in the competition but said his immediate focus was on domestic fixtures.
“It will be difficult, they have a lot of experience in the Europa League, they have won it so many times. I don’t know the team in detail but for me the most important thing is football and I don’t have Looking forward to Sevilla,” he said.
“First we have the international break and then three Premier League games, so there is plenty of time to focus on that.
“Certainly all the opponents who arrive at this stage of the Europa League are strong and you have to play your best football if you want to go through.”
Juve, who dropped out of the Champions League after finishing third in their group, will be looking to win the competition after their first four Serie A hopes were dashed with a 15-point deduction on their transfer deals.
The Turin-based side are seventh in Serie A, 10 points behind fourth-placed AC Milan. Winning the Europa League guarantees a place in the Champions League next season.
