Rahul Gandhi: Delhi Police at Rahul Gandhi’s Residence for Observing ‘Sexually Assaulted Women’ | News from India

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police team on Sunday visited the residence of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in relation to a notice he received for his remark during the Bharat Jodo Yatrawhere she stated that “women are still being sexually assaulted”.
The police team led by Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Sagar Preet Hooda arrived at Gandhi’s residence 12, Tughlaq Lane, officials said.

Police sent a questionnaire to Gandhi after taking note of his comments on social media, asking him to provide details of any women who had approached him about sexual harassment. Officials confirmed that the team had arrived at Gandhi’s residence at 12 Tughlaq Lane.
During the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Srinagar, Rahul Gandhi is quoted as saying, “I have heard that women are still being sexually assaulted.”
Police had asked him to provide details of these victims so their safety could be ensured, officials said.
