Germany’s BioNTech SE has signed a preliminary agreement to set up a facility for the production of cancer drugs and vaccines in Jerusalem, Israel’s Finance Ministry said on Tuesday.

Under the memorandum of understanding, BioNTech will develop drugs and vaccines using mRNA technology at Har Hotzvim’s technology park. It will also establish a research center at the Weizmann Institute in central Israel.
