Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi to wave Rani Kamlapati Bhopal today – Delhi Vande Bharat Express train. This will be the 11th Vande Bharat Express on the Indian Railways net.
This will also be the first Vande Bharat Express running at 160km/h on Indian Railways. A railway official told TOI that the Vande Bharat Express on the Delhi-Bhopal route has been cleared for a maximum permitted speed of 160km/h. Gatimaan Express, another flagship train of Indian Railways, is already traveling at 160km/h on the route.
Indian Railways has till date launched 10 Vande Bharat Express trains. Due to speed restrictions on most routes, Vande Bharat trains were only able to run at 130km/h until now. The high-speed train has a design speed of 180 km/h and an operating speed of 160 km/h.
The Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express will run between Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin Station and Bhopal’s Rani Kamlapati Railway Station six days a week. The train does not run on Saturdays.

Route and Timetable Bhopal-Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express
From Bhopal Rani Kamlapati Railway Station, train number 20171 will depart at 5:40 am and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 1:10 pm. On the same day, train number 20172 will depart from Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin Station at 2.40pm to reach Bhopal at 10.10pm.
The train will stop at Agra Cantt, Gwalior and Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi stations en route in both directions. It will take a total of 7 hours and 30 minutes to travel 701 kilometres.
Fare Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express
- According to the IRCTC website, a journey from Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin to Bhopal in the AC carriage of the Vande Bharat Express will cost Rs 1665/- including catering, which is optional. For the Executive Car, the ticket price will be Rs 3120/- inclusive of food expenses.
- The fare for the Bhopal-Delhi Vande Bharat Express Chair Car will be Rs 1735/- inclusive of catering and for the Executive Chair Car the price will be Rs 3185/-
