Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck should be – even the singer’s mom thinks so.
Guadalupe Rodríguez says she knew her daughter and the actor would get back together.
“I knew you would always get back together because I’ve been praying for 20 years,” she said.
Lopez opened up about her rekindled relationship with Affleck on the TODAY show on Wednesday.
The love story
Her upcoming album This Is Me…Now captures the “moment in time” when the pair first reunited, Lopez said.
When the singer was asked how her love for Affleck might be different now, she replied: “I’ve had an incredible journey through my life over the last 20 years and I think I’ve grown a lot.
“The album is really about capturing those moments in time.”
“Fall in love and have that moment, then 20 years later try to capture what This moment was, that was a very different thing,” he said.
When asked if love is better a “second time”, Lopez said: “I think when you have life experience under your belt, you realize what’s really important. I love what I do. I’ve always said that, but since I had kids, that has changed for me.”
She added: “Now, having a family like this and being married, you start rearranging everything.
“What’s really important? How much do I want to work?
“You begin to understand what I want to do with my life.”

Lopez also said Affleck was a “wonderful” father to his children, 15-year-old twins Max and Emme.
She said, “You know because he has his three beautiful kids and then there’s us and it’s amazing, he really takes on the challenge of what that is and what it means and they love it … and appreciate it and so do I.”

The marriage that took 20 years to unfold
Last year, the couple tied the knot in a Las Vegas drive-through chapel, before sealing the deal with a second ceremony at a fairytale wedding in Georgia surrounded by friends and family.
Their second wedding took place in August 2022 at actor-director Affleck’s $8.9 million (£7.5 million) Georgia mansion.
Lopez, 53, wore a Ralph Lauren fishtail couture gown with a long dramatic train and veil, while her husband Affleck, 50, wore a white tuxedo jacket, black pants and black bow tie.
This was nearly 20 years after they first got engaged in 2003.
They separated a year later in 2004, starting relationships with other people.
The love-struck couple, dubbed Bennifer by fans, confirmed they were back together in 2021 after rumors started circulating that the stars would rekindle their romance.
