Despite a successful stint on Bigg Boss 16, Shiv Thakare not in the mood to slow down and take it easy. She is working towards her goals relentlessly. She ticked off another project on her to-do list by participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 (KKK 13). He says, “I’m pretty stubborn about achieving my goals. I try to achieve what I set out for. After Bigg Boss, all I wanted was to keep getting good offers. I want to act in Marathi movies, and I’m sure it will happen sooner or later, but I have a special fondness for reality shows (smiles). Glad KKK 13 has come my way. Who doesn’t like receiving an offer without having to ask for it?”
While Shiv is finding his own space in show business and making the right career moves, how important is money to him? How much does it influence his professional choices? He replies: “Although money is important, it is secondary. I won’t let go of an opportunity for this. I’ve waited years for this stage to be busy to let something distract me. I’m definitely making more money than I ever imagined (laughs!). It amazes me that I can get paid this much. When the deal closed, I thought to myself, ‘Aai shapath, you mehenga ho gaya re,teri toh request HIbrother (laughs!)’”.
He adds: “I learned that aap sapno ke peeche bhaago, paisa khud ba khud aata hai. Sure, it’s great to get paid what you deserve. I presume oopar wala jab bhi deta hai chhappar phaad kar deta hai. Now I hope to own a house in Mumbai. Yahaan ghar lene mein logon ki life chali jaati hai. So, I really appreciate that. Through my journey in the world of entertainment, I have shown that even the average person can aim for the stars”.
