The King’s sister, Princess Anne, was due to attend a community street party in Windsor, west London, while her nieces, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie – Prince Andrew’s daughters – will attend a large lunch in the same royal city.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will host a luncheon at his office and residence at 10 Downing Street, inviting community volunteers and Ukrainian refugees.
“People are marking this momentous occasion in a spirit of unity and hope for the future,” he said.

Buckingham Palace said the centerpiece will be ‘Light Up the Nation’, in which well-known locations across Britain will be illuminated using projections, lasers, drones and illuminations.
They include Blackpool Waterfront, Sheffield Peace Gardens, Eden Project Nature Park in Cornwall and Tyne Bridge in Newcastle.
