Nitish Rana Fined 24 lakh for KKR’s slow over rate | Cricket News

Kolkata Knights slow overpricing during their Indian Premier League match against Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday cost the visiting team skipper, Nitish RanaRs 24 lakh as well.
“As this was his team’s second breach of the season under the IPL Code of Conduct regarding minimum overstatement offences, Mr. Rana was fined Rs. 24 lakh and each member of the Playing XI, including the Impact substitute, is fined Rs. 6 lakh or 25% match fee, whichever is less,” the IPL statement read.

Kolkata managed to stun CSK who are usually unbeatable at home to Chepauk.
The six-wicket win kept KKR’s playoff hopes alive, while CSK remain No. 2 on the points table despite the loss.
