No Ambulance, Man Takes Child’s Body In West Bengal Bus | Kolkata News

MALDA: A day laborer, who had used up all his money to look after his twin sons, had to suffer for the death of one of his sons. To add to his pain, he had to put the child’s lifeless body in a bag and board a bus to cover nearly 200km from Siliguri to his home in Bengal.
Asim Debsharma, whose baby died on Saturday night, said he could not afford Rs 8,000 to hire an ambulance, having had to spend Rs 16,000 on miscellaneous expenses last week.
When she was on the bus with her son, the city councilor somehow learned of the tragedy and organized an ambulance for the grieving man. The last 5km of the journey were traveled by ambulance.
