Injured Aussie star Nick Kyrgios to miss French Open | Tennis News

NEW DELHI: Nick Kyrgiosthe unpredictable tennis star of Australiawill not participate in the next French Open due to a knee injury, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) announced on Tuesday.
Despite playing Roland Garros five times, Kyrgios only managed to advance to the third round twice and was never comfortable on clay.
Ranked 26th in the world and finalist at Wimbledon in 2022, Kyrgios last competed at the French Open in 2017, where he was knocked out in the second round.

This year he has faced a tumultuous time, including knee surgery in January to repair a torn left meniscus, which led to his withdrawal from the Australian Open and a guilty plea in February for assaulting an ex-girlfriend.
However, the 28-year-old was lucky to avoid a conviction for “the single act of stupidity”, as the magistrate called it.
